The six sigils
Every control-flow surface fits on one line.
Signum has six core sigils. Everything else is standard library.
| Sigil | Role | Example |
|---|---|---|
@ | Reducer definition | @ grade : a |
~ | Bind a name to a value | n ~ a["score"] |
? | Guarded block | ? (n >= 90) ("A" >> se_ok) -> .. |
>> | Pipe into the next reducer | value >> reducer |
* | Iterate over a sequence | xs * x … .. |
.. | Close a block | end of rule or guard body |
No semicolons. No classes. No mutable globals. The symbol -> is a reducer's return point.
